Washers are used to spread the load of a bolt or screw over a larger area or to help prevent loosening under vibration.
General use flat washer
A corrosion resistant steel alloy. The most common stainless steel for general hardware use.
A corrosion resistant steel alloy. The most common stainless steel for general hardware use. A chemically produced coating that leaves the steel surface with a matte black finish and offers mild corrosion resistance.
Solid brass. An alloy of primarily copper and zinc with good corrosion resistance. Used mostly in decorative and electrical applications. Exact color varies.
A general purpose nylon often used in fasteners for corrosion resistance.
SAE pattern is a tighter fit on the bolt and a smaller outside diameter.
A low carbon steel for general use. Zinc plated for moderate corrosion resistance.
Split lock washers place tension against a nut after tightening, to help prevent loosening.
A split lock washer designed to fit under the head of a socket cap screw.
A corrosion resistant steel alloy. A highly corrosion resistant grade of stainless steel. Ideal in salt water and chlorine environments. More expensive than 18-8.
Uses external teeth to help prevent loosening.
A corrosion resistant steel alloy. A stainless alloy that is harder than 18-8 stainless steel, but not as resistant to corrosion.
Uses internal teeth to help prevent loosening.
