The basis of The Geek Group is to provide everybody who wants it with access to the tools and equipment to build anything they can imagine. The Geek Group is the largest non-profit hacker space in the country. They provide facilities where individuals and institutions can learn and explore science, math, and engineering.

Bolt Depot works with The Geek Group to help them keep a wide range of nuts and bolts on hand.

The SAE Mini-Baja program provides hands on experience for engineering students. Bolt Depot supports the Northeastern University Mini-Baja team with the donation of fasteners and bolt bins.

Boston University Academy's Team Overclocked provides high school students with a hands-on engineering experience by teaming up with adult mentors, such as engineering students, to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way.

Cynthia's Challenge

Cynthia's Challenge

Each winter, many of our employees and their families participate in the 24-hour ski event at King Pine Ski Area. Cynthia’s Challenge was created in an effort to help ease the financial burden of children and their families encountering the staggering expenses associated with specialty medical needs. King Pine Ski Area supports Cynthia’s Challenge by hosting a 24 hour ski-a-thon with the support of local business and the community.

Turkey Trot 5k Run/Walk logo

Turkey Trot 5k Run/Walk

The Turkey Trot is a 5k walk/run in memory of Paula Cazeault held by the Soul Sister Foundation. All of the proceeds are donated to ovarian cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and local women undergoing cancer treatments. Bolt Depot is a proud sponsor as well as many employees and their families participating in the event.

PMC Kids Rides

Pan-Mass Challenge Kids Rides

Each year, Bolt Depot provides the Boston South Shore PMC Kids Ride with attractions for the riders which range in age from 3-18. Many of our employees donate their time and services to the event, which raises money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund.

Additionally, several Bolt Depot employees’ children enthusiastically participate in the ride itself raising money via their own efforts leading up to the event.

Bolt Depot always has the fastener needs of the bikers on hand if any repairs are needed.
