Eye bolts & eye lags

Eye bolts and eye lags (eye bolts with wood thread) are available in several materials and styles.

Choose your style and material.

Wire eye bolts (w/ nuts)  | Forged eye bolts (w/ nuts)  | Forged machinery eye bolts  | Forged eye bolts with shoulder (w/ nuts)  | Forged machinery eye bolts with shoulder  | Wire eye lags

Wire eye bolts (w/ nuts)
Wire eye bolts (w/ nuts)
Wire eye bolts (also referred to as bent or turned eye bolts) are used for light duty applications, and should not be used for angular loads.
Note: Each wire eye is supplied with one nut.

Zinc plated steel

Steel is zinc plated for moderate protection against rust.

Stainless steel 18-8

Stainless steel 18-8 is an alloy of steel with high corrosion resistance. Stainless has become the material of choice for exterior and most marine applications.

Forged eye bolts (w/ nuts)
Forged eye bolts (w/ nuts)
Drop forged eye bolts. Forged eye bolts are significantly stronger than wire eyes and are available in larger sizes. These bolts should not be used for angular loads.
Note: Each eye is supplied with one nut.

304 Stainless steel

304 series stainless steel is a general hardware grade stainless steel. Stainless steel is an alloy of steel with high corrosion resistance. Stainless has become the material of choice for exterior and most marine applications.

Hot dipped galvanized

Hot dipped galvanized fasteners are much more corrosion resistant than zinc plated fasteners. Due to the thickness of the galvanized coating, galvanized bolts will only work with galvanized nuts. For exterior and coastal area use. (ASTM A153)

Forged machinery eye bolts
Forged machinery eye bolts
Drop forged machinery eye bolts. Machinery eyes are fully threaded. Machinery eye bolts without a shoulder should not be used for angular loads.

Zinc plated steel

Steel is zinc plated for moderate protection against rust.

304 Stainless steel

304 series stainless steel is a general hardware grade stainless steel. Stainless steel is an alloy of steel with high corrosion resistance. Stainless has become the material of choice for exterior and most marine applications.

Plain Steel

Un-plated (self colored) carbon steel.

8620 Alloy

A high strength un-plated (self colored) alloy carbon steel.

Forged machinery eye bolts with shoulder
Drop forged machinery eye bolts with shoulder. Machinery shoulder eyes are fully threaded. These are the only eye bolts rated for an angular load. For load information see our Machinery Eye Bolt Working Load Limit Chart.

Wire eye lags
Wire eye lags
Wire eye lags (also referred to as screw thread eye bolts, eye screws, or turned/bent eye lags) have a wood screw thread for use in wood or lag anchors. Like wire eye bolts, wire eye lags are intended for light duty applications and should not be used for angular loads.

Steel is zinc plated for moderate protection against rust.

Stainless steel 18-8 is an alloy of steel with high corrosion resistance. Stainless has become the material of choice for exterior and most marine applications.
